We are so proud of Sharna for her win at the Queensland Resources Council and Women in Mining and Resources Queensland Awards for Women, taking home the award for 2021 Exceptional Women in Queensland – Resources Technology Innovation.
The award is a recognition of Sharna’s 25 years dedicated to driving innovation in the industry to improve safety, sustainability and productivity.
With almost 1,000 people in the room and another 1,000 videoconferencing in from regional mining towns, the event recognised a diverse range of exceptional women and the outstanding contributions they have made to the industry, as well as the role that women play in sponsorship, mentorship and friendship to see other women succeed in the industry.
It was also great to see so many male champions in attendance who have strongly contributed to the 25% increase in females working in the mining industry over the last year.
This award would not have been possible without our global network of ecosystem and technology partners, who together, allow us to bring a step-change in both safety and productivity for a more sustainable future.
