Dr Sharna Glover

Sharna is the co-founder of Imvelo Pty. Ltd. and a Director of the Company. She is an experienced executive leader with a twenty-year track record of successfully leading step-change technology programs. Sharna is experienced and passionate about delivering significant improvement to safety and productivity in all resource sectors through embedding technology within business plans. She creates vision that inspires and aligns teams to deliver on innovation plans. The ability to create connections through technology partnerships across the full ecosystem is a unique quality that Sharna brings to the table.
Sharna was most recently the Program Director of BHP’s Autonomous Operations Program which is developing the next generation in robotics and precision resource extraction for the mining industry. Sharna was managing a global team and a demonstration test bed in Arizona US. Delivery was underpinned by strong technology partnerships in the US and Europe with the best in autonomy technology. Sharna demonstrated the power of an industry consortium to accelerate delivery through her novel leadership approach.
Prior to this, Sharna led the business planning division of an Asset with a book value of $20B and operating expenditure of $5B. Previous roles during her eighteen years with BHP provided Sharna with experience in M&A, major capital projects, technology commercialisation and remote operating centres.
Sharna holds a first-class double degree in Chemical Engineering and Science, as well as a doctorate in Engineering. She is an Advisory Board Member at the University of Queensland Chemical Engineering School and Sharna has recently been appointed to the Advisory Board of Australia’s Space Agency.
