Brendan is a hands-on Technology people leader in Operational and Information Technology with over 15 years’ experience in the resources industry, including decision automation, fleet management, control systems, analytics and data. Brendan is known for his strategic and focused approach with digital automation at scale, creating lean teams, establishing creative strategics for optimising internal operations, driving adoption of new solution development and deployment, technical debt remediation, cost control and customer experience.  

Brendan was previously the Head of Technology for BHP where he was the prime stakeholder and strategist of the Global Technology Operations re-organisation across BHP facilitating the leverage of the TROC across all Mine and Port facilities and standardisation of roles and accountabilities across the Minerals Australia Region. Brendan has lead high performing teams of 400 internal and 200 external staff across 16 mines, 3 ports and 3 remote operations facilities with continuous reduction in cost through automation and process improvement, and a significant reduction in technology downtime.

Brendan has a Master of Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Business Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts.
